Syrups

What is Elderberry?

Elderberry belongs to a flowering plant family that grows around the world. Black elderberry (sambucas nigra) is generally found in warmer parts of Europe and North America. Elderberry supports bees, butterflies and bird species with nectar and fruit!

Several studies have suggested that elderberry may have a measurable effect in treating colds and flu, alleviating allergies, and improving respiratory health. WebMD notes that “one study found that elderberry could cut the duration of flu symptoms by more than 50%.” Elderberry is also quite delicious and can be used make syrups, teas, sauces, and more.

Why Earth Soothers?

Earth Soothers products are carefully handcrafted in small batches right here in Vermont. We use local honey and organic elderberries to create our delicious elderberry syrups. We use our own products and we proudly stand behind their quality.

A traditional water-bath canning method is used to preserve our jars of elderberry syrup. Unopened, you can expect our elderberry syrups to last in the pantry for at least one year. Refrigerate after opening for up to two months. In the event that a newly-opened jar is discovered to have fermented, we will exchange it for a fresh jar…guaranteed!

How should Earth Soothers elderberry wellness syrup be used?
