What is Elderberry?

Elderberry belongs to a flowering plant family that grows around the world. Black elderberry (sambucas nigra) is generally found in warmer parts of Europe and North America. Elderberry supports bees, butterflies and bird species with nectar and fruit!

While scientific studies have suggested that elderberry may have a measurable effect in treating colds and flu, alleviating allergies, and improving respiratory health, Elderberry is also quite delicious and can be used make syrups, teas, sauces, and more…so that is what we do! We make Earth Soothers elderberry syrup to support health and happiness!

Our Process

Earth Soothers elderberry syrup is carefully handcrafted in small batches here in Vermont. We always use local honey and organic elderberries to create our delicious elderberry syrups. We proudly stand behind their quality and encourage you to read our customer reviews on Facebook and Instagram!

A traditional water-bath canning method is used to preserve our elderberry syrup. Unopened, you can expect our elderberry syrup to last in the pantry for at least one year. Refrigerate after opening for up to two months, if there is any left by then! In the event that a newly-opened jar is discovered to have fermented, we will exchange it for a fresh jar…guaranteed!
